Thursday, December 2nd -- Day Four

Period One: History 30
While this wasn't planned, they seemed so genuinely in need of one last class to work on their "Great Canadian" assignment so they got this period to do so. The assignment is due tomorrow.

Period Two: ELA 9
After some silent reading, some assignments were returned. The students were treated to a Pop - Quiz on 'The Outsiders' to this point. For the most part, these were quite well done. Once students completed the quiz they were asked to read Chapter Eight of the novel.

Period Three/Four: ELA 20
The periods were given to complete the exam on the first theme of study, Recollection. With any luck these could be marked and returned tomorrow.

Period Five: Math 7
As a class, we went over Page 72 #1. We used both a number line and blocks to answer each question. When this was done, Page 72/73 # 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7AB, 8ABC, 11, 12 were assigned. Tomorrow in Period Five students will be given more time to complete this assignment.

Period Six: ELA 20
This is our once in a six day cycle work period.

Period Seven: ELA 10
After some silent reading, we talked about the fact that "My Great Adventure" is due tomorrow. Some students seem to think that this is unreasonable. As such, if they don't want to hand in the assignment for tomorrow, they can submit a one paragraph explanation as to why they are not done and why they are deserving of an extension. The merit of their arguments will determine whether or not they will receive the extension they want. Students were then assigned to read the short story 'Wilma'

OTHER NEWS:

Senior Boys and Girls Basketball Practice today. The Girls go at 3:30 and the Boys at 5:30.

Good Luck to the Senior Girls as they travel to Central Butte this weekend for their first tournament of the year.

First Drama practice will be held on December, 8th. If you have any questions, talk to Mr. Chorneyko.

For what it's worth...Riders need a Head Coach....here's to hoping it isn't Doug Berry.
