Thursday, September 9th -- Day Two

Period One: ELA 10
The "Bucket List" assignment was collected. Students were given the period to complete "The Legend of...." which is due tomorrow.

Period Two: History 20
After a Current Events discussion, a review of yesterday's class took place where students were asked to explain why Russia sought an alliance with Germany and why Germany accepted. We then discussed our personal thoughts on the issues with a two - front war where a lot of good ideas were expressed. We then looked at Bismarck's last few actions, namely the establishement of the Triple Alliance. A small assignment on today's handout was given. Students were asked to continue working towards completion of their timeline of Bismarck's activities.

Period Three/Four: ELA 9
Students informative paragraphs were collected, and the second purpose for writing, narrative was introduced. Students were asked to work through the Writing Process, ultimately ending in the publishing of a narrative paragraph.

Good luck to our student athletes tomorrow: Jorden Cherewyk at a Senior Golf Tournament at Crystal Lake and the Cross Country Team at the Run for Peace at Cherrydale Golf Course.
